My name is Igor Ageyev. I have been in IT since 1983 and worked as an IT and enterprise architect for over 25 years.

​

My opinion about IT and its potential has changed three times.

• The first time was when I used the Internet to solve a significant problem.

• The second time, a profound shift in my perspective, was when I crafted my first enterprise solution. I truly grasped the potential of computers as a strategic enabler for business and operations.

• The third time, a new perspective opened up to me when I understood the role of computers and AI in the division of labour.

 

Today, we stand at a critical juncture in the global economy, politics, and technology changes. The Global Growth, the tide that lifts all boats, is over. The Globalisation, mega-economic level solution, which helped the global economy continue growth via redistribution and optimisation of wealth is out of momentum and reverting.

The global economy changing form the economy of supply to the economy of demand.

That change shapes new business opportunities, dictates new business strategies and operation models politics, and creates political and other risks. The imperative for businesses and organisations is to adapt swiftly or risk being left behind. This change is not just about growth; it's about the survival of enterprises in this transforming world.

In this blog, I will share my view on enterprise architecture, a firm, an operation model and technologies their roles and changes after the Globalisation, in the economy of demand.

The problem is common, general and interesting.
